Is this Key2 compromised or just a production error?

I ordered a Key2 from Amazon Marketplace. Unbeknownst to me, it was shipping from China. When it arrived I noticed it had in faint gray print on the back cover the CE certification stamp and "Model: BBF100-6". However, when I turn it on, the software says it's a BBF100-2.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I be concerned that it's compromised somehow?

You have a legitimate North American BBF100-2 device it seems. Specifically sold by Rogers in Canada. Maybe someone had replaced the back cover at some point.

Well, not with AT&T. But you should be ok for a bit with the other 2 carriers.

VZW is still a pain setting up factory unlocked CDMAless account. My Pixel5a doesn’t pass the IMEI test for the VZW rep to setup account.
