I'm observing severe battery problems with my Key 2. I used to get around 7 to 8 hrs of screen on time before but now I'm only getting around 3 to 3.5 hours. Everything else looks very normal other than this.

One interesting thing I had observed was now it is only taking around half of the time for full charge when compared to the time it was taking before. In other words, battery performance is reduced by half.

Please suggest what can I try.

Thanks for your help in advancem

Install AccuBattery and monitor it for battery health.

You may also have to consider a factory reset.

I guess the usual response for a blackberry phone is a factory reset

Or any device. There isn't much else a user can do.

are you using the official charger? using one with incorrect ampage etc can shorten battery life.

The actual base number is 3500mAh.

It means that after however long you've had your device, the battery is still operating at 80%. Not too bad.

It brings me back to suggesting a clean OS install.

You can load the April patch via autoloader. Use the wipe option.
