Ah alright, how does a build in april compare to builds before that? Should a key2 spacebar be as firm as a keyone BE?

In the Netherlands we count the days before the month, that's why I got confused.

Usually, from the data we've gathered so far here and a bit on reddit, KEY2's built in March 2019 have had their spacebar revised.

That doesn't mean that every single KEY2 before that doesn't have a firm one, but it just means that getting a later build date pretty much guarantees getting a "good" one.

I'm currently using a Silver KEY2 built on September 28 2018 and the spacebar is good enough for my OCD, even though it's not exactly as firm as the Red one I'm getting rid of.

Had to buy another Key2. Build date: October 4, 2019. Model 100-6, Hong Kong variant, runs ACD175. I'm surprised they were producing Key2's as recently as a month ago.

So, a July 2019 is quite a late build date. Who knows, they might just keep on building and selling them until no one wants one or their contract runs out, with or without updates or fixes. Whichever happens first.

Maybe it's international, I don't know. The PRD ends with -19, the box has paperwork in Chinese and a Hong Kong power plug. The build quality is good, the keyboard is backlit evenly and the space bar is rock solid. One strange glitch that I had was the wheezing/screeching sound during a phone call (as if the speaker is blown) but it mysteriously went away after the first restart and never returned.

I don't think this is worth the hassle at this point lol
