Issues: Slightly wobbly spacebar (not excessive, but noticeable). Accidental swipe gestures.

In hindsight, the looooong wait worked out. I got a unit fresh off the latest production run and with nothing going on these days other then doom and gloom, the timing was just right for a new BlackBerry unboxing!

So I just got my Silver Key2 back from TCL, and the build date is 09/20/18. So they indeed just repaired and not actually produced a new one. lol.

Just received Red KEY2 from Best Buy (last week's stock).

Build date is 04/02/2019 (April 2nd).

I was expecting an August/September build, but it seems that these have been sitting since April for some reason.

Oh and spacebar is perfect, as expected.

Mine exactly the same.
I contacted the support and they told me it is the first and only batch of Key2 Red Edition that was sent to Bestbuy since April.
I don't know why did BestBuy hide them?

Probably the same reason the dumb asses had their Key2 LE's on the floor at my local Best Buy in Sacramento California for 649. I told 3-4 people on separate occasions, including a floor manager the pricing and model were incorrect and they never changed it. Totally misleading but then they care for nothing but Samsung and Apple.

Every single KEY2 in existence will have a spacebar that makes a lack sound.

It's just that some of them feel loose/wobbly to varying degrees, and other feels very firm.

As for the fingerprint sensor, try deleting your prints and re-adding them again.

If the thing bothers you, just return/exchange it.

If you posted this using the K2 I noticed that the capitalise after a full stop didn't work as the start of the post wasn't either in capital. How is the swipe up function of the predicted word's working? Is it swiping up first time or does it take a couple of swipes to get the selected word to move up. The letter S is making a louder clicking noise on my Pkb sometimes but I can live with that.

Today, I got a new key2 black from the mediamarkt in the Netherlands for 297 euro, online order/pick up only, no store models.

After having a keyone BE for 1 year (wificonnectors gone, no more loudspeaker after heavy and rough use + a drop from the top of the stairs), I saw the deal and couldn't not buy it. The weird thing is that the key 2 all cost 500-600 euros everywhere and the Silver edition still cost 570 something on Mediamarkt. What?

After using it, the spacebar instant felt weird. I thought I had a faulty spacebar. Upon looking at other people's older posts, I reckon I just have a very old key2. Guess what.

4 September 2019.

Now, 4 hours later, I'm used to the spacebar already. It's miles different from the key1. I think that it makes typing more effortlessly because of the overall less pressure you need to put on these compared to the keyone.

The only problem I still have with the spacebar is that it feels like a keyboard spacebar. It's not firm like the keyone, but it doesn't wobble a single bit, unless I put pressure on both sides of the spacebar, then I could wobble it a bit. Overall, very happy with it.

Oh and the new vibration feels like a guitar string, I like that.

It separates the model number. They will have different bands for different markets

Ah alright, how does a build in april compare to builds before that? Should a key2 spacebar be as firm as a keyone BE?

In the Netherlands we count the days before the month, that's why I got confused.

It's a North American variant. I live in Chicago. It does strike me as weird when I look at it.
