Dec 2018..flawless. No issues whatsoever with the phone. I owned the black version in the summer and the phone was garbage. Wobbly loud space bar..turned me off the key 2. Glad I returned when they fixed the issues! Loving my silver key 2 best blackberry I've owned bar none!

Interesting as your build date is after my Black KEY2 with an August 3 date of manufacture. I have no issues with the space bar being loose/wobbly and my fingerprint scanner works as it should.

im so sad about this phone. I was strong blackberry fan, but never buy blackberry again... I also have some problems with calling , phone calls are often disconnected and and middle of the touch keyboard doesn't work good enough and since December software issue with switching of notifications. this software things should be fixed immediately and not wait for two months to fix it. phone for this money should work better

I believe he posted previously his build date is October 7 which I found interesting his had a space bar issue with that build date. My KEY2 space bar is fine and my build date is August 3.

So, I got a question - am about to get me a Key2 and I want to make sure I get one of the latest build dates - there is no indication on the outside of the box where you could see the build date? Or possibly in the system of the shop?

Appreciate some input here. Am planning to buy it at digitec.

Before a certain date it's hit and miss. As things are looking anyone with a device built in December or later should be fine.

Not all regions will have a build date on the box I believe

I just received my silver Amazon.ca KEY2 and space bar is super clicky and loose.. Build date DEC 15. It really is annoying to type with such a pronounced space bar press. type, type, type, CLICK, type, type, CLICK...

If he would have just said clicky it would be OK whatever since you only hear it in a very quiet environment but wobbly is just annoying AF

perfect keyboard. had 5 devices from all kinds of dates.
only issue is slight light bleed bottom left portion of screen. not bad to see in everyday use.

this is the best one I got so far and one of the oldest builds. came with the July patch. BTW I just got it today on sale from amazon.

Honestly from everything I've seen and read it doesn't matter what date it was built. It's completely hit or miss.

I've had July august November and December builds and this one is flawless as far as kb is concerned.

I agree it's completely hit or miss. I was recently in Dubai where I purchased my Key 2 dual Sim BBF 100-6 128Gb and was lucky to get a solid phone with no issues. In had a December built date.
However, I saw many Key 2s on display in shops and many had loose or wobbly space bars. The only model that was systematically solid was the Arabic version of the Key 2.

My KEY2 BBF100-2, PRD-63825-004 build -4 fine. Whoever says it feels like the other keys is lying. Mine is perfectly fine with enough resistance to be pressed but I believe all KEY2 phone have a different feel on the spacebar in general. I'm very satisfied considering the what we have been delt by TCL.
