After we've installed this update this way, do we continue to receive OTA or we get out of sync then?

Only if your variant doesn't end up getting the build will you be out of sync.

That only means you'll have to install te next autoloader.

you will be out of sync unless your provider releases the same version. once on same, you will be back in sync. But a moot point if you continue to update to latest patches yourself (why wait for them?)

Just an update.
Tried it again with the Sept patch with the wipe a couple of more times...no dice. Still don't know where the problem was. Did the ABT974 with the wipe for all...score! In the middle of set up now. Knowing now I have a PRD-63828-031. Thanks guys! Back to cooking with grease. @ConiT - Brother, I'm sure the patch link is fine. I did have a similar problem back in the early BB10 days with my cpu and mega. Actually that is what cause me to decide to try a loader from a different host. I used the Android file host link to get back to good. Thanks again!!!

You have the Indian variant of the device. Only ABT974 (from April) has the Indian signatures.

Right now it is giving an April 5 as the security patch level. To add the option to check for updates is not there as an option. I am back to talking again. I just may stay here for a minute. But I will keep an eye out and may try it on a later date. Thanks again.

Oh well. I'll tell you that this is a solid device. I have had no problems. I just wanted to see what an update had to offer. Paid only 4 no screen lift, no space bar issue, no screen flicker, nothing. I should be happy for a bit longer.

It's updated regularly.

But that's what the autoloader is for - to update yourself, as long as your device isn't one of the listed exceptions from the first post.

Your choice. The autoloader has a wipe and no-wipe option.
