I predict the keyboard will remain the same. I believe this is the keyboard design they have invested in for years to come.

There are going to be a lot bigger phones in the upcoming cycle, the Mi Max 3 and the Honor Note 10 are ushering in the new phablet being 6.9 inches and an 18:9 aspect ratio, i am hoping next year there is a "plus" variant that is significantly larger keyboard and screen both. I want the whole physical device to be as large as the LG V20 or original Nexus 6

Yes. I second this. If KEY2 sells well, they can make KEY3 and KEY3+ next year. A plus variant makes sense especially the keyboard can be wider and won't make the device much larger.

I'd be on board for a Key Lite, half the size of the current phones. Somehow I doubt that will happen.

Key2 is going to sell very poorly, even worse than the K1.

replace the capacitive home buttons with on-screen buttons and add a notch to increase the screen size dramatically

or make an XL version which is the width of most cell phones today, makes for a wider keyboard and much bigger screen. That seems like it would be a better phone anyway

Sadly, I think you may be correct. With VZW having over 35% of the US market, the Key1 had a better shot with TCL offering a version compatible with and certified by VZW. With no VZW dedicated model and the only US version of Key2 not receiving VZW certification, then I can't see BBMo having much success going forward.

I really loved the Passport/Passport SE keyboard. wish they would have stuck with the three rows for the keyone/key2

KeyOne sold pretty horribly with less than a million in its first year... not sure the Key2 will beat that with all of its issues out of the box.

CAPS were done via long press (same like keyone/key2) and then on screen button. Symbols were swipe down on the keyboard - something I still try to do on my keyone (I assume I will be doing that on my key2 as soon as it arrives).

Believe it or not, there are markets outside the US.

Instead of the android buttons above the keyboard I believe BBMobile will install a physical toolbar like the Classic and older berry's.. this would be a great addition and they could even make it a "smart" toolbar with new technology within it like the keyboards. We shall see a year from now.
