Jessica : Hi, I'm a Sprint sales specialist. Would you like any help today?
You : Can you provide any guidance as to the status of Sprint carrying the new Blackberry Keytwo?
Jessica : I would be happy to help you with Blackberry Keytwo information and answer any questions you may have.
Jessica : The Blackberry Keytwo is not available online however you can visit the Sprint store and explore your options.
You : Great answer but doesn't really answer my question. I've been with Sprint for 14+ years and just curious if I'll have to leave to get this phone.
Jessica : Thank you for being a valued Sprint customer!
Jessica : If the device is not available at Sprint store you can buy the device from 3rd party and we will activate it for you
You : What if it doesn't have the CDMA version? Could it still be activated? Then I would stay.
Jessica : The device needs to be unlocked and that will do
You : So if I buy and unlocked GSM version Sprint can activate? That is get news if correct.
Jessica : The device manufacturer make both the model GSM and CDMA
You : Not sure I understand? DO I then need to buy an unlocked CDMA version to have it on Sprint?
Jessica : Yes, it should be Unlocked CDMA
Jessica : You can buy it from any local store or Best buy
You : Just for clarity, we are both talking about the New KeyTwo, not the exiting KeyOne, correct?
    Jessica : Yes.
Jessica : We have the KeyOne but not the KeyTwo
    You : Many thanks!
    Jessica : You're welcome!

Is this correct? If there is a CDMA version, can I buy an unlocked one and bring to Sprint? Do we think there will be one like this? I'm ready to switch from Sprint if I have to.

Well it's possible with the merger (that's in the works) with T-Mobile, that Sprint has changed their policy, BUT in the past they have generally refused to activate unlocked phones. You've always needed to buy Sprint branded. NOW for the KEYone I do believe they carried it, but you had to buy from them, or BestBuy which sells Sprint phones.

Sounds like the rep doesn't know what she's talking about. There is no CDMA model except for one in China. @thurask can explain.

There isn't one, so the point is moot.

she is just making the statement that if you buy an unlocked CDMA phone they will be able to activate it. She doesnt know anything about the keyone or 2. So it isnt going to work since its not CDMA

Sprint doesn't seem to be interested in Blackberry phones anymore. So sad.

Sounds like she has no idea what she is talking about. I don't believe there is a CDMA version at this time.
