Same here - been looking for ages and finally pushed the button today. Got sick of the PRIV that I love needing 3 charges each day and having the common 'please insert a SIM' error when on voice calls. Now waiting for delivery of a black 128 later this week and hoping like hell the build date is recent and the space bar is firm! Wish me luck ...
Let me know what the space bar and responsiveness of the keyboard is like. Also, Build date and where you bought it.
    thanks

I have the dual-sim Key2 here in the USA on T-Mobile. It was ordered from a seller in NJ, and originally a UK version. Had a flaw with a defective screen when I first received it back in 2018. BlackBerry Mobile USA (Texas) took it back under warranty and fixed. been flawless ever since (except like most phones, battery life has lessened and performance slowdown).

Mine just arrived. Vendor website said PRD ended -007 (UK QWERTY) but my box has PRD-63828-507 which I can't find on the Key2 Variations forum trail at all. Box info also says UK QWERYY, Made in China, 190919, BBF 100-6 . Anyone reckon that's a September 2019 build-date? Would love your thoughts on the PRD before I open the box!

Did the PRD test on the phone itself and got a date of 19 September 2019 (matching the box).

Rather underwhelmed by the phone itself, which seems small after the PRIV. All keyboard keys are very 'clicky' but space bar no different so far.

What if anything don't you like about the k2?
For me it's the space bar and swipe up of predictive text but I'm not alone with this. Otherwise I think it's a good device but just not a icon reborn; -)
The battery life is great and the camera is not bad ,I don't play any games but I do use YouTube.
It also fits perfect into my priv holster lol.

    Thanks for the info.
the manufacture date is surprising. why are they still making these devices? could be make on demand till the contract or demand runs out, whichever happens first! ?
Doesn't mean the problems have been solved though, and that would be a pity.

It's not a manufacturing date - it's an assembly date.

Existing devices are being repurposed and re-assembled for other markets.

yes, that's the exact word. Sounds feasible but precisely which devices are being re-assembled for which markets is hard to ascertain given the Chinese wall of secrecy.

Basically the current main sell channels (GoTalk USA, and BBMo Europe) are being sent re-purposed leftover devices from other markets.
