Love soooo many things about this phonr, but why is the dcreen so small?? A larger screen would have afforded a wider keyboard, and they could have made it thinner. The battery is so unthinkably good (50pct at 10pm most days).

Its bigger than a iPhone SE’s screen and barely smaller than a 6/6S/7/8 so... Should be good
I would actually prefer a smaller screen.
I would also prefer a larger screen!!
Key Three should be iPhone XSmax dimensions with some screen sacrificed for keyboard, and with Android P so as to get rid of physical android buttons...

would much prefer larger and wider screen
Wider keyboard
yes, it would prefer a larger image screen too.
I think a slider and Passport reboot may help. Both devices can justify a higher price tag.
PRIV is the way to go
While perhaps a new slider is easy to suggest, what market research do you think BBMo is missing in this regard?
These are just the missing elements of a fully fleshed out PKB line up. Back in 2011 BlackBerry put out the 9900, slider and all touch. There was no thought about a Passport or larger devices at that time. The Passport has a lot of support here on this site as does the PRIV. In an ideal world everyone would get want they want.
The unknown here is the size of the PKB market. Is BBMO flogging a dead horse ?
BlackBerry pretty much owns the PKB market so it is what BlackBerry says it is. A slider captures those who value an all touch device but prefer a PKB for writing emails and longer texts . In that way, BlackBerry might widen their base. A 9900 reboot might appeal to those who carry two phones. Again, widening the base.
Ultimately, BlackBerry needs to sell more phones by widening their PKB base .
What market research does BBMo have that suggests that their two model strategy is the optimum approach?
I would assume their research governed their current strategy.
I'm sure having 20 different devices of all sizes and shapes would "widen the base" even more, but that doesn't speak to ROI.
I am assuming that BlackBerry Mobile hears what they want to hear until they finally realize that BlackBerry PKB's are not the best way to build a premium TLC brand. Nice little niche, really good BlackBerry , but not a premium brand.
I personally would be very dissatisfied if the screen became larger. Good device size overall IMO.
I'd love to have a "Note" sized Key device.
We already have premium devices - Samsung S9/Note9, iPhone XS, etc.
TCL defined their BB market as being above Alcatel/TCL sub $200 phones. They said they wanted a share of the above $400 to $600 market. This is not my idea , this is TCL’s idea. Moving up market while keeping their Alcatel sub $200 phones can add profits to the bottom line. A 9900 reboot might be profitable as a second phone.
Some additional high end PKB models might generate more profits while modestly increasing overall PKB sales.
It does seem doubtful that BBMo will be able to sell a successful all touch phone.
All three BlackBerry OEM’s have failed thus far. It appears that the way forward for TCL is to make a better all touch Alcatel.
Really?
Optiemus JUST released its first phone, and BBMo seems pleased with its progress.
My wishlist?
A new priv-like device with leica camera, oled screen, and some ingress protection. Just take cpu/ram/radio chipset from K2.
Probs never happen because it wouldn't sell enough to be worthwhile for production.
Anyone that wants to get rid of the headphone jack belongs infront of a firing squad.
Apple, OnePlus, Huawei...
I will be the first to cast a stone at such infidels!
I love Oneplus but I won't be buying anything after Oneplus 6 and if BlackBerry is the only game in town with a headphone jack then I only have one home
And let's not forget the RGB LED
The Evolve like the Motion is too expensive for its intended market. Find a review that says different. As far as BBMO who knows. I guess the release of the LE is a very positive sign.
Many devices come in different sizes so why not 2 versions of the KEY devices? I'd love a KEY3 XL while others would prefer the standard. Nothing wrong with expanding choices.
