Yes, this is the November security update. Scheduled for November 30 on Rogers. However, I got it today.

Yes, it was unexpected. A little extra life for the KEY2.

Not updating on TMobile. Or anyway after you do the update you will lose your Bluetooth. my phone will not connect to any of 4 other Bluetooth systems that it previously was able to use to make calls. Audio/Media connections work but Phone app does not. Long conversations with TCL Communications who are clueless; and no way to go back to the July update.

So beware - if you implement the November 5 Update you may lose your Bluetooth.

If that was so, this place would be exploding with complaints of the issue. It's probably just a kink in the system, try a hard reboot.

This is one more reason I’ve always preferred carrier hardware. The carrier software is nowadays required not just for Enhanced Calling Features but also negotiated to carrier business standards with real enforceable contract language and the resources to demand contract enforcement.

And the difficulty a small vendor might have dealing with global sales with 100's if not 1000's of retailers and carriers. Someone slips a "requirement" in that your "legal" guys aren't able to review and catch.

In the USA.... OM is going to need carrier support. But outside the USA, I think they'd be fine with the crowdfunded direct sales model (or just let the Black-market take care of those desperate customers).
