I really wanted a BlackBerry Key2 Silver so I purchased one on Amazon last week.
Unfortunately, they shipped me a black one instead. So, I purchased another Key2 and the same thing happened again. Third times the charm right? Nope! Another black

The label on the boxes even say Silver but when I opened them, they were black instead! What the heck is going on

Barcodes and automated picking.... Sounds like the blame lies with BBM.

Debateable, but I doubt those barcodes would be applied by BBM. They would be likely applied by Amazon inventory control hence the 'NewItem' tagging, which would be replaced by UsedItem tagging upon return to Amazon by Amazon inventory control as highlighted on the FBA options- https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...cont_201100910 BBM has already applied their own barcodes to the boxes through the IMEI and product SKU visible under the Amazon barcodes.

But again, as highlighted on Seller Central, some sellers on Amazon can print their own FBA barcodes to apply as well, so that's why it's debateable. If BBM applied the Amazon barcodes themselves before sending off to Amazon, well, someone screwed up and didn't check thoroughly enough. - https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...cont_201100910

No one but BBM and Amazon know which FBA option they went with, so the blame if you will, could go either way.

It took only five posts this time for someone to pull out the pitchforks on BB again. I swear there's a sport to this or something.

I'm convinced Amazon operations is run by nothing more than a series of algorithms, until something goes wrong, at which point a confused support person jumps in and tries to fix the mess.

Have had similar issues with Amazon before - they applied the same (Amazon) label to two different varieties of the same product - simple human error (it happens)

A few months back I ordered Shimano bike cleats for my bike shoes. I thought the package unusually heavy. It was a Shimano bike CHAIN. The bar code identified it as "cleats." I was meticulous when I submitted my return in explaining that their (Amazon) bar code was wrong since I did not want to repeat it again with a replacement that might be another chain. Things happen. I got the cleats correctly.

I had a similar problem with K1. Amazon sent me the GSM version even though I ordered the CDMA one.

So I took the pictures with my BlackBerry Passport Silver which brings back so many memories and feels like an old glove. The reason I want a silver Key 2 is because it feels like the only way to have a modern Passport.

Will probably be using my Passport for the time being. I won't stop trying until I get a Silver Key 2. Amazon's gotta send me the right one on my 4th try.

Goodness, the keyboard on the Passport feels so good. Compared to the keyboard on the Key 2, the Passport keyboard feels so much better because the keys are much larger. The virtual 3 row keyboard feels so much more intuitive than the 4 row keyboard. I'd love for BlackBerry to cut off a row and bring back the virtual keyboard experience.

Of course, we gotta make the best of what we have. That said, why can't the currency key be mapped as an extra Alt key? I really hate BlackBerry's decision not to have a dedicated period key. An extra Alt would be so nice. I so rarely use the huge a$$ symbol key and would much rather have it be replaced with a period. I can already swipe down on the keyboard to bring up symbols. Don't need the symbol key really.

I really miss BB10 so much. Sigh*

Well, I was sure that they had an entire bin of bike chains labeled "cleats" and that I'd get another one. (g) Actually, the chain was much more expensive than the pair of cleats!

The Key2 Silver, taken with the Key2 Black.

First impressions are that the Key2 Silver looks bigger than the Key2 Black even though they are both the same size! What visual witchcraft is this haha
