Dear all users of BlackBerry Key2. My question is: how is the life of battery on this device? My last model Motion had fantastic life(4000mah). With Key 2 (3500mah) I am not satisfied. Please your experience. Tnx

    Battery life excellent.

I am a heavy user and it will always get me through a full day. Around 40 percent left at 9pm

With 150 plus apps, getting SoT of 9 hours is great which heavy use

    Are you following any trick?

The only thing I do is use Power Centre to disable some apps from starting - apps I don't need/want to run in the background.

I also don't game at all - apart from a bit of Candy Crush and Solitaire.

Very similar to my average day... start with 100% charge around 7:00 AM and finish with 40-50% battery remaining 9-10:00 PM. I am a moderate to heavy user. I don't check my SOT very often but typically I'm at 4 hours of SOT with 50% battery remaining.

Coming from the PRIV I am extremely satisfied with the KEY2 battery life. I don't have to bump the battery at any point throughout the day... 👍

Here is a discussion on disabling Google services with the pros and cons.

One of the big pros - better battery life and less data usage.

SOT isn't a major consideration for me... I want to be able to go about my day and not have to worry about bumping my device to complete my day. Since transitioning to the KEY2 3 months ago I can do that. By the time I finish my day after my initial 100% charge in the morning with moderate to heavy use and 14-15 hours later with 40-50% remaining, I'm very satisfied. I could never do that with my PRIV. My PRIV would need to get bumped at least once if not twice during that time.

KeyOne was better, which isn't a surprise I guess seeing as it was a slightly bigger battery.

I really wanted Key2 to last two days solid. Which it can... if I don't use it Lol

You are not satisfied because of battery size? Or battery life you are getting?
KEY2 has a great battery life.

Battery life on my Key2 isn't as good as my KeyOne and definitely not as good as the motion, which was really amazing. Having said that, the battery on the Key2 is really good. I have no complaints at all. You would be very hard pressed to kill it in a day. But the extra processing power from the better processor more than makes up for the decrease in battery life for me.

That’s hilarious. I have a feeling the Key2 battery life is better due to more efficiencies with one year newer technologies.

The SoC is more powerful/hungry (ONLY if run hard), but Oreo has some battery management enhancements under the hood.
