This should be obvious, but I'll say it anyway. The KEY2 wasn't intended as a phone to make KEYone owners upgrade. It's designed to attract 1) remaining BB10 users; 2) former BlackBerry owners who still prefer a BlackBerry experience; 3) individuals who want more privacy and security from an Android phone; 4) professional users for whom the idea of a PKB phone with a great battery resonates; and 5) adventurous enterprise customers who might want to add a BlackBerry to their list of approved devices.

TCL isn't aiming to hit a home run with any of those groups. But it is hoping that the sum of all of them can produce 1M+ in unit sales per year.

The Key2 is supposed to be slightly better in every category.. not drastically better. You can't expect an entire revamp. That's for another PKD BBMobile tends to release later this year .

So while everyone's bickering about the Key2, BlackBerry Mobile is plotting the release of an entire new PKD phone that's not apart of the Key series.

We will see about that! If it’s a slider (torch)- I want no part of that. Not sure really what else they can do with the keyboard .
