I guess you just use the Android buttons for it. no need to use 2 buttons in a time.

just the buttons your device have above the keyboard.

I think there are a few threads recommending a Button Mapper app. You can do a lot with it.
Not sure why you need to map keyboard to launch home, back etc but this app should do the trick for you https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ar2.homebutton

Closes i was able to get was using nova launcher you can map an action under "nova actions" that will go to the default home screen and have other keyboard shortcuts for specific additional screen if you have useful widgets there

Makes more sense than making some thing so easy and already available into a slightly more complicated way of doing the same thing.

I found fingerprint gesture app is right solution for my request but it is acting weird occasionally.

I'm wondering why BlackBerry didn't allow us assign other keys to replace navigation bar

I wanted to completely disable navigation bar as I was keep on pressing the home button while typing.

The placement of navigation bar was quite a bad design by BlackBerry

BlackBerry should release a software update to disable home button function when it was pressed within a second after clicking on any physical key.

    This will solve the problem.

You cannot disable the navigation bar. You can turn the illumination off, that's it.

You just have to adjust your typing style. Use the Key2 a few weeks, and you will adapt.

Fluid Navigation Gestures is the best IMHO! Never acts weird then install Buttons Remapper to disable the navigation keys and turn down the brightness of the navigation keys afterwards.

So just because I prefer gestures makes it complicated to do the same thing?

I'm trying for this, it's not a problem for me. When I give my phone to my family, then shouldn't say this is bad phone.

Basically i'm trying to make key2 a perfect phone for others too

I have been using button mapper pro since few days and I found this as one of the best apps for key2.. Im completely dependent on H, B and R keys for Home, Back and Recent functions and disabled navigation buttons and set visibility to 0.

I have also assigned other keys S for screenshot, T to scroll up, G to scroll down, M to open menu, F to in app search, N for notifications, Q for quick settings, K to kill app, 0 to assistant, L to open last app and C to clear notifications

I wish dev will include shortcuts for zoom in and zoom out soon

    Best app ever for Key2

how do you type with these settings? do you have the H home B back and R recent set to long press?

here's what I ended up assigning for nav keys using button mapper and fingerprint gestures app -- space bar touch for back , "speed key" for home, and double press sym key for recent apps. so far working great and I turned off the nav keys function using button mapper and brightness to zero using system settings display. I actually made the home key (still dark and not illuminated) to do screenshot when I hold it because it's right in the center so I know where it is without the capacitive buttons needing to be illuminated. pkb forever!
