I believe I've read that the the Key2 has an enabled FM (broadcast radio) receiver, so that with a headphone wire plugged in and used as an antenna, you can listen to FM broadcasts. My Passport has that, the Priv has the chip, but its not enabled at least on AT&T. Does the Key2 support FM HD radio? My local public radio station broadcasts four signals: plain Jane FM, HD1 (same programming as FM), HD2 classical 24, and HD3 News and talk.

For that matter, does any smartphone support FM HD Radio?

Polaris: Are you quite sure K1 has enabled an FM HD radio receiver, not just an FM radio receiver? If so Cool!!

Polaris: Would you kindly take a screen shot of a K1 receiving HD radio, and post it? That would affect my next purchase decision.

Climbing the hill on a new Key2, and tried out the FM radio app (in the app drawer). As best I can tell, its plain old FM radio, and not HD radio.

From the Android FAQ at Nextradio.com: "The radio receiver chips built into smartphones are only capable of receiving analog FM signals. If AM and HD reception capability is included in future devices, NextRadio will certainly support them.

NextRadio is focused on live and local broadcast radio. At this time, there are no plans to include Internet-only streaming stations."

    Thanks for the link @The_Passporter
