Nevermind, I read the other thread and see that it is %b.
It is also in post 11 of this thread.

No, that was about deleting the following space, not the preceding space.

I mentioned it in Post #19 but didn't explain what it did. I thought you guys would know by then

Also %b doesn't work with WebView fields. See the post above by OP

What about using this method to make a shortcut for the actual percent sign % - is it possible ? Is an escape character such as ' used to take a litteral % so it doesn't think it's a macro?

Impossible to my knowledge. I think that's what '%b' was supposed to do but it's not working in WebView fields.

I autocorrect "pp" to £ so it isn't an issue.
It is an issue because the word substitution resets or deletes itself after rebooting the phone

I haven't had that issue fortunately.

Actually I just tried it and it works just fine! if you just put % alone as the target. I am trying to get the $ key to be % instead, but it's quite difficult to achieve and I haven't yet been able to crack this one.

Scratch that - does not work when the $ key is set to $, only worked by pressing $ via on-screen symbol keyboard....ugh
