Go into the settings for the messaging app you can set the enter key to send.

No you can not, if its android message app that comes installed on device...

But BlackBerry could at last try to back this up in the core system. I need enter to be send everywhere as an option.

Agree. I know many android apps change the virtual keyboard enter key to a special send button. In that case I would hope the physical keyboard would behave the same, with the enter key doing the special function. Would make sense as a system keyboard setting. Alt + enter could always be available for a newline.

I just installed the google keyboard "gboard" and set it to be the "active" keyboard and it seems like enter to send is now magically working on a few apps that it wasn't before. Facebook messager is one that that works now.

Interesting! Is it also working on Android Messages and if so, does it work the same using the physical keyboard?

so I tried on android messages app, and enter to send does not work. so i continue to use textra. and no the VKB does NOT show up at all (which is exactly what we want). I did notice a little weirdness on typing after a while but quitting all the apps fixed it. so give it a try!

Installed the latest version with the new design, but still no Enter to send option... nice new design and dark theme though!

Nice! Hopefully Hub, Calendar and Productivity Tab will follow suit design-wise at some point so that transitions and integrations become more visually consistent.
