Yup. Have the same model - used it for business travel in the US... worked great for both my sims...
Is the goal having two phone numbers? How is the call quality? Thanks.
That was my goal. I no longer wanted to carry two phones, one for work and one for personal. Call quality is fine thus far. I'm in a large metro area so there is plenty of the band coverage.
I will update next week as I'm traveling through the north east.
Great news! Can you share if you purchased this BBF100-6 international version on Amazon or some other source? Also, if you have WhatsApp is it split successfully by phone number? Thank you.
I did buy it from Amazon. I don't use Whatsapp though. Sorry
Are both Sims truly on LTE? Do settings not mandate data only being available on one sim (as the dual sim keyones). Share a screenshot of your sim settings if you don't mind. Thanks in advance
Can you select one of the SIMs as a mobile hotspot?
Good to see someone posting this after all the craziness we went through trying to get the KeyOne India variant (Dual-SIM) to work in the US, which it never did due to firmware code differences from the TCL KeyOne.
I received my BBF100-6 last week and will be posting soon as to my experience here in Miami, FL, USA. Unfortunately I cannot post anything as of yet due to the screen on my Key2 having stopped working after 2 days of use. After all forms of resets and other attempts, BB Mobile support stated hardware issue, but unfortunately due to its Int'l variant status, I now have to wait to see "if" they will approve the repair through Blackberry N America (located in Texas). I think this is ridiculous as hardware is the same other than the expanded memory (128gb) and some software differences to accommodate the extra SIM function.
That said, while I did have the phone, I was able to get two SIM's fully functional through T-Mobile. 4gLTE worked on both lines, however you must choose one as your default data line. I even got WiFi calling to work as well, but have not had the opportunity to fully test since my screen took a dive.
As for your question regarding Whatsapp, there are two methods to handle this. You can currently download the regular Whatsapp app, and also the Business app, then have two separate lines on each one. The other method is to use the new "Clone App" feature available on the Dual-SIM Key2 as well as the Key2 LE. You simply drag the Clone compatible app (Currently Whatsapp, Google Messages and a few others) to the top of your home screens and it will duplicate the app so that you can use it with a different number.
Hope that helps. I will report more on this, along with my recommended Seller for these Dual_SIM Key2's in the US, when (and if) I get mine repaired under warranty. Keep in mind that since it's not available through N American authorized sellers, you're sort of on your own with hardware repair and/or replacement support unless you deal directly with the originating authorized sellers. I do know that mine originated in United Emerits, which Blackberry Mobile confirmed.
Oh wow. So the phone connected to IMS on t-mobile before it broke?
That's a big deal...
what's app does split for the two sims😁
I am running 2 separate Whatsapp accounts from the same phone. The cloned app is a tiny bit slow to load but works just as good as the original
It's dual sim standby not dual sim active so you need to tell it which to use for data etc
Yes but it will need to be the same sim for your normal data as well
sorry all I didn't reply with quotes
