Am struggling to understand the maximum speed with data on a dual-SIM Key2 phone BBF100-6. I understand that it is only possible to have the data function active on a single SIM at a time (user-selectable). But, do both SIM slots allow for data at maximum speed (4G/LTE)? Or is the maximum speed of SIM 2 limited to lower speed (3G or even 2G/EDGE)? I cannot seem to find the definite answer to this. Thanks for help.

It all depends on your carrier (or carriers). They're all set maximum based on the modem's capabilities. Your carrier(s) are limited to the bandwidth they have available.
