Hopefully but less than likely as they didn't carry the KEYone. T-Mobile has been the best at supporting factory unlocked if that's any consolation. BBMo/TCL really does need and want the carriers on board. Hopefully the Key2 moves T-Mobile and Verizon to inventory BlackBerry again.
If T-mobile carried the Key2 I would definitely upgrade. I hate to pay in full upfront.
band 71 is an issue. unless BBMo makes a TMO-specific version with Band 71, there's no way TMO will carry it.
Good. That means just like the K1 it will enable tmo users to have unlimited hotspot tethering with no slow downs, since tmobile thinks youre just using regular data when you hotspot on non tmo phones. at least with the ones I tried. works out awesome for me when we camp on and off for 3 months in the summer.
Yeah it doesn't work that way with the keyone. I have metro pcs (t-mobile) and it knows when your using the Hotspot.
I was just looking at Band 71, which TMO is advertising but is not on my BBB100-1 K1 or the K2.
I'm in a spot where signal penetration might help my reception but Band 12 (700MHz), which the K1 allegedly has, is either not on the tower or not enough to make it through.
The K1 does indeed have Band 12, but Band 12 has limited bandwidth; so it's not great for data-intensive applications. Band 71 will have much more bandwidth (once they get backhaul squared away).
As much as I like the improvements to the K2...I can't justify getting ANY new phone without B71 at this point.
