Just to get this out of the way upfront: Different people want/like different types of cases, and that's totally fine. Some people do not want a case at all, which is also totally fine.

Personally, I've been a big fan OtterBox (especially the Defender Series) for almost a decade. When it comes to cases, I do not care about sleek or pretty. I need something that can withstand use and provide a high level of protection for my BlackBerry. As careful as I try to be, falls, drops, and other accidents happen. One of the things I really liked about the OtterBox was the way basic shell provided enough of a buffer so that if I dropped the phone, the screen would not be damaged.

I need a case that can provide a serious level of protection. Since OtterBox is no longer making cases for BlackBerry, what would people reccommend for the Key2? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Usually, Incipio is on the more rugged (and bulky) side. I believe they won't be making cases for the KEY2 for now, so I'd turn to Ringke and see how it is. Someone also mentioned the OEM BB soft shell case which covers the phone nicely and protrudes in the front, which should provide some good drop protection. The bottom is fairly exposed though

@the_boon. Do you know if Ringke is making a case for Key2 and when it might be available in the U.S? I know the OEM soft shell is already in Canada and I'm guessing will be in the U.S soon. Thanks for the reccommendations.

If anyone else knows of other OtterBox like cases for Key2, please let me know.

Also, does anyone know if either case comes with a screen protector (even if it's just something that you peel and stick on, that would be good to know). If they don't, would it be possible to buy a seperate peel and stick style screen protector to use with one of the above cases?

I've never considered buying a Blackberry so soon after its release before. Is there normally this long a wait between the release of the device and release of cases in the U.S?

I use Seidio or Incipio dual cases. I don't find the Incipio to be bulky at all. That being said those aren't available yet. Check out Tudia dual cases on amazon. I'm waiting for it to arrive this weekend. It looks to be on par with Incipio's dual case but won't know for sure until I get it in my hands. I'll try to report back once I have it.

I'm willing to accept bulky if I'm getting a high level of protection along with it.
@blueyestm- Is this the Tudia Dual case you were talking about? It looks good.

@the_boon-Is this the Rinke case you were talking about? It looks good too.

Let me know how it works and if you like it. I won't be buying the Key2 right now, so there's time for reviews of cases to come in before I make up my mind.

I found another possible case that I think might work for me. I'm not familiar with the company. Does anyone here have experience with them? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Check out Seidio if you want something that is very rugged. https://www.seidioonline.com/product...face/#features It is raised above the camera and the screen to prevent scratches. It also is raised above the function buttons, and has a kick stand so you can set up the phone horizontally to watch videos. More pricey than Amazon, but it looks more like an OtterBox (and the unavailable Tudia). I am going to try it and report back.
Reviews from CoverOn said that the openings for charging or earphones were not aligned. Likewise, the Ringke looked very minimal. And for any of these, make sure you buy the Key2 LE and not the Key2 if that is what you have. They are different shapes.

The Seidio surface. Had one o n my Keyone for well over a year. Have one on my Key2 Red Edition.

    Best cases I've ever used.

Dropped both phones on construction sites, they bounced on many floors in the office and around my truck cab. Slid into my laptop backpack repeatedly over the years.

Not. A. Mark. On either phone. Both look brand new.

I ended up buying the Seidio for Key 2 LE and love it. Just as good or better than the old Otter Box I had for my Priv and other BB devices. Be sure if you have the LE to specify that because the other Key 2 has different shaped and differently placed cut-outs.
