    Is there a reason I cannot receive texts from my best friends iPhone. He at times has texted me with iMessage on my ipad, but that is turned off on my iPad. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Get him to turn off or disable imessage and use traditional text messaging instead. Otherwise, it won't even be received.

    Also try deleting the entire text conversation on your phone and then try to receive one from him

    So delete my text threads from him and then receive a new one from him? Remember he is getting mine. I just don't get the responses.
