The silver BlackBerry KEY2 on Amazon listed at $749.99 CAD, presumably a BBF100-2, is actually not the case. The vendor, “Canadian-Deals,” sent me a black BBF100-6. I returned the device and contacted Canadian-Deals and they informed me that their whole inventory is actually black BBF100-6’s, and they are waiting on Amazon to update the catalogue. So anybody that’s looking to buy the silver BBF100-2 should not buy from this vendor! FYI!

Therefore, the KEY2 Silver is officially sold out across all of BlackBerry Mobile’s listed Canadian retailers.

Both models are identical. The only difference is BBF100-6 is dual Sim. If you don't need the dual Sim function, just deactivate it.

As per conite: Int'l model is missing NA bands 14, 29, 30, 66.

Bell and Telus use band 29 for video streaming.

My concern is the model listed in this link says that there is no warranty. this is a problem when you pay 750$ for this device.

Buyer Beware: Amazon CA KEY2 Silver-img_0126.jpg I went ahead a purchased what is supposed to be a BBF100-2 Black variant, which was only supposed to be available in Canada at carriers. However, I contacted the vendor and they said it is indeed a BBF100-2; I will soon find out the truth, lol.

I just called Blackberry mobile. they daid to not use this device in North America. it will not be covered by the warranty. the customer guided me for buying from Amazon directly by seleting on buying choices. then select Amazon. its a little more expensive though. So I am return this BBF100-6 again.

I have been told by Blackberry's customer service that this model is manufactured specially for India. they also not recommend to use it here (Americas). they do not cover the warranty on this model!

After a saga of receiving the wrong Key2 twice this week (returned but haven't been credited yet), I finally received the Silver BBF100-2 that I expected. just be careful to select "buying choices" on the amazon page and then select the one sold by amazon at 793$.

This one is legitimate. Just showed up this morning. I finally received the unlocked black BBF100-2 that I wanted since launch.

Hi, is there a way to see or to know what band my unit got? My dual sim was from HK.

Same thing just happened to me with Amazon US. I went to the BlackBerry Mobile page. Clicked buy and went to the amazon product page from there. I wanted to make sure with all the different ones floating around that I would be on the right page. I confirmed the model showed BBF100-2 on the amazon page. There was a third party considerably cheaper, so I purchased. I received an open box BBF100-6. They even swapped the accessories for US accessories. The box wouldn't hold the headphones, so they just dropped them in the shipping bag. My first clue was dual SIM. Then I noticed the Opteimus stuff on the back of the box. I went round and round with the seller and amazon. Finally returned and reordered direct through amazon.

I reached out to BB-Mo as well. They sent screenshots of the amazon listing I should be using. So I received my Amazon purchased one today. This one was at least sealed, but it too was a BBF100-6. Super nice packaging, but I don't want to pay full price for a device with no warranty, no updates, and an annoying feature that calls 911 accidentally all the time.

Amazon thinks I am crazy as does BB-Mo. I have contacted both of them again. I just want to buy this blasted phone. This is reminding me of when I tried to buy a motion for my daughter. I ended up giving up and getting her a Moto phone. If I continue to have trouble, I guess I am giving up on keyboards earlier than I wanted to. I was hoping to have one more keyboard phone (Key 2) before giving up on BB.

On the upside, it had the original accessories.

Finally a BBF100-2. It took 4 returns/exchanges with Amazon, to get the right device.

What you had to put up with to purchase the proper KEY2 should not happen... this doesn't make Amazon or BlackBerry Mobile look good in my opinion.

Could you provide us with the link of that Amazon listing?
    05-21-19 10:39 PM

It is the listing that you get linked to from blackberrymobile.com.

BlackBerry KEY2 Black Unlocked Android Smartphone (AT&T/T-Mobile) 4G LTE, 64GB

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7TJQ83...UvbUpU13393825

Then from there, ensure you pick Amazon as the seller. Keep in mind, as I mentioned, Amazon also has mislabeled stock. It isn't just the third party Sellers.

I didn't have a single issue ordering the black variant. Used Amazon as the seller, paid $609 with prime shipping and had it in 48 hours. Correct hardware with nothing mismanaged.

I would advise to never use third party sellers on Amazon. It's not worth saving a few bucks.
