In the very recent past I had 7 icons along the bottom edge of the homepage in the dock but suddenly without making any changes the doc became unable to display more than the five standard icon array. As for the rest of the home screen I have 8 columns and 6 rows functioning normally has usual. What have I done wrong? How can I fix it?
Maybe your display size was somehow adjusted. Is anything else larger than normal on your screen?
Could also be your launcher settings were manipulated, you can check by opening the app drawer and tap the settings cog top right, then choose icon layout.
Already smallest icons, set one columns lower, no joy
Decrease your display size then in system settings.
Thank you for the insights. It's time to charge the phone. I haven't had results yet but I will continue to play. I step was reduce the display size to minimum and it didn't correct the problem. One widget is larger. I've removed it temporarily. It was okay before.
set developer options smallest width 585 and display size custom 295 and bingo, works well ... took some fiddling but found... thanks for the help
Then ＆ Now 8 x 8 and all is well
