You can get better androids devices for less of money.
Just take a look at the new Asus zenfone 6, for example.
And 30-50% on top for what?
The PKB?
Or the broken promises with monthly updates?
Or for all the bugs?
Take a look here at crackberry.
Every day you can read new posts from people who have problems with their Key2.
Sure the Key2 is a good device.
Just massive overpriced.
And so the Key3 will be.06-11-19 06:44 PMLike 0 -

But again: for what?
The BlackBerry logo on the backcover?
Or for the name of a former great company?
A fan is always willing to pay a higher price for devotional subjects
But I'm not a fan.
I'm looking for the actual best mobile phone for me.
A bought my Key2 dual sim for 395€ from a reseller.
480 max 520€ would be a realistic price for a new Key2, in my opinion.
I would never ever paid 699€ therefore, because it's, for me, a price that's not even nearly in relation06-11-19 07:03 PMLike 0 -

Especially when you think about the high price?
I'm a guitarist. And I have 2 high priced guitars from PRS guitars.
When I buy a PRS guitar I know I will open the case and in there is a perfect instrument.
Everything is well crafted, no issues, just perfect.
Also high priced boutique quantities.
There the price is in relation for what I get.
I don't see this with a Blackberry android mobile.melhiore likes this.06-11-19 07:18 PMLike 1 - And don't you think the quality should be much better for, let's call it "custom shop"?

If I could chose Key3 improvements over Key2, and hopefully Key3 will come out in 2020, they would be:
- Stronger Vibration motor
-Slightly bigger led lamp
-maybe a littler more durable battery
What do you think should improve?
In terms of improvements over the KEY2, I'd definitely like to see low-light performance improved as Conite has already said, but I think the whole camera needs to be improved if I'm going to purchase another expensive BBMO device in the future. I fully understand BBMO's pricing strategy, and why the KEY2 is so expensive, but it was still a little bit too much for me (I returned multiple KEY2's). Other than that, I think the KEY2 hardware design was much improved over the KEYone, and I really wouldn't want much of a change there with the KEY3. If they can figure out how to design a candybar style 16:9 display, I'm game (or a PRIV-like slider design-minus the mushy keyboard).06-11-19 07:46 PMLike 0 - And don't you think the quality should be much better for, let's call it "custom shop"?

What’s your point exactly? It’s a niche device not intended for the price sensitive consumer... Like complaining Whole Foods costs more than Walmart Stores for groceries.06-11-19 08:48 PMLike 0 - PRS has a pretty singular priority: making a great guitar. BB and BBMo both have goals that are split and diverse, and so much of the extra money is NOT going to places that people necessarily value/prioritize, and instead to other areas. Divided priorities does not lead to cost efficiency.
BBMo can't do their job right?
I just expect for a lot of money a device that works as expected.
Without wobbling spacebar, without all the software bugs and so on...melhiore likes this.06-12-19 01:49 AMLike 1 -
But there are a lot of users with a lot of less luck.
And once again:
When you look at the hardware it is overpriced, in my opinion.06-12-19 01:53 AMLike 2 -
But it is more, to say it in your words, like paying the Whole Foods price for getting the Wal-Mart quality.
Not every device. It seems that they don't have a good quality management.
And the support is really poor.
And therefore you paid also.06-12-19 02:00 AMLike 2 -
- Any company has to make a profit to survive. You buy what BBMo produces as is or don’t buy anything. BBMo isn’t concerned with anybody’s opinions. No company is. They have research and sales data for that. BBMo knows what they’re making and how best to make a profit. BBMo also knows it can’t please everyone and is ok for you to buy a competitor phone. If the PKB isn’t the selling point, at the price, then BBMo isn’t for you.06-12-19 07:04 AMLike 0
- I think I got misunderstood.
The Key2 is a good device and I really like it (otherwise I would have sell it).
I'm nearly bug free, but I see all the posts here at crackberry.
I wrote my wishlist for a Key3 and said that the Key2 is overpriced, in my opinion.
Nothing else.06-12-19 07:47 AMLike 0 - I think I got misunderstood.

Nothing else.06-12-19 07:53 AMLike 0 - PKB is a captive market, TCL can charge whatever they want for lack of competition. That that captive market can fit in a minivan is even more incentive for markup.06-12-19 07:54 AMLike 0

I think a realistic price is about 480 to max 520€ for a Key2.
For a price of 699€ with those specs it is much to expensive.
So the fans of a PKB have to pay a price what is not in relation to the specs, I think.
But Blackberry has a die hard fanbase so they can call any price
The alternative should be to build in better hardware. OLED display,
a really good camera, ip6 certification, newer processor and so on.06-12-19 08:18 AMLike 0 - You can buy devices with better specs for a lower price (without a PKB).
