when did you pre-order? I ordered at 7am on the 29th and still have not been charged.

I just checked and I got the email confirmation of my order at 1:29am on the 29th and in the same email it shows it will arrive by 7-13 but as of 1:10pm on Wednesday 7-11 my card has not been charged and still shows in progress. At this point I would say it is highly unlikely I will have this in my hands by Friday.

Bit the bullet and called. Did not go well. CSR was rude. He stated they do not have the phones and will not have them until the 13th. I pressed him as to why BB advertised all over that they phone would be received by 7/13. He then gave me the run-around saying it was just an estimated date and that Best buy has no control over when preorders are received. Pressed further, it was more run-around. He claimed i still could receive it on the 13th via "same day shipping". Total nonsense. Not looking good for Friday. may just go with Amazon at this point. Should have known better than to trust Best buy.

Called back again. Got a much more knowledgeable CSR. Was on hold for a long time. Bottom line they have no clue but she said the likely result it it will ship on 7/13 despite the advertising. Now I'm 100 percent certain if I cancel they will ship the orders in 5 minutes. May hedge my bets and order from Amazon too.

ok, well i live in Louisville where UPS has their hub, so I am feeling better, if it is coming from UPS, it can ship tomorrow and still easily make it Friday

Yes and I don't know how I deserved it. My name does not event start with an "A".
Maybe using the "cool kids" coupon from the NYC pop up showroom? That's maybe what made the difference?

Jfc Best buy is such a disaster. Amazing they are in business. Logistics is horrendous. Two separate CSRs told me they will not even have them until the 13th. I don't believe them either.

Since I'm ranting, I'll add that not getting a phone to market over 30 days after announcing is also ridiculous. Epic fail by TCL.

while I agree, lots of the big boys do this too, LG and Sony have had terrible habits of announcing things months in advance

Everyone in here I would assume has been around for any launch that has to do with BlackBerry. Why is anyone surprised? By their standards, I think this is a great BlackBerry phone launch...as long as everyone gets their pre-orders early next week the latest.

i have not been involved with a BlackBerry launch before, or a Best Buy actually. However, if I get my device on the 13th, which is still a possibility based on my location, then everything is going as it should
