I use BeWeather though it has been removed from the app store. My guess is they didn't want all the required Google intrusion stuff. Great Widgets as well.

It IS available on the Amazon app store and still works great.

I use an app called 1weather. It comes with specific widgets that you can discretely install on your lock screen and will always show the weather and location you choose.

I use "Weather Timeline" which I love because the data behind it is from Dark sky, and I find its widgets and widget settings to be perfect for me.

What's wrong with Today Weather or the one that comes with the phone? It tells the weather and has a choice of three sources???

I use DarkSky. Love the minute by minute rain forecasts and the widgets. It is 2.99 US per *year* which is well worth it to me. Free if you don't need minute-accurate rain forecasts or widgets

I use Your Local Weather, which is nice, fast and simple, but DarkSky has better features. Esp. the Time Machine is really cool.

Dark Sky and Weather Timeline, everything else I've tried either was too often incorrect, made too many location requests, amd/or was missing features I wanted. Dark Sky and Weather Timeline aren't perfect either, but good enough to do the job.

Google is the best for checking the weather. i like to set the 'at a glance' widget rather than the clock one that is set by default. it takes you right to google weather

I'm surprised no one mentioned Accuweather which I've been using for a long time. I rely on the alerts for severe weather alerts from Environment Canada. I always saw it as the gold standard. I'm really curious about others mentioned though I can't see buying a subscription product for weather.

For people in the US, NWS NOW is pretty good. It has the basic data from the National Weather Service in a simple, functional layout.

I can't speak to anyone else's experience, my only problem with AccuWeather was that it really hurt battery life. Other than that it was a really good piece of software.

My problem with AccuWeather is that it does not remember any location I mark as a favorite. They are gone within a day or two at most.
