    Hello everyone,
I have seen dual sim of BBF100-4 which appears to be for China market, but BBF100-6 which is international market.
However, the scarcity of BBF100-6 which isn't Indian variant got me thinking of BBF100-4.
I wish to know the difference and limitations if i buy BBF100-4, as it seem they get updates just like other BBF100-6 which isn't Indian variant.

This maybe wrong but I think it's to do with the region. So software updates, and regional preferences etc

The BBF100-4 is specifically for the Chinese market, and has Google apps replaced with their Chinese "equivalents" .

Based on these data, BBF100-6 should be manufactured by both TCL and Optiemus because it is available in those companies region service.

It's only a model spec sheet. It doesn't speak to who builds/manages/supports it.

Steer clear of the BBF100-6. It hasn’t had a security update since December 2018 and likely never will

Every single BBF100-6 has the June update except the single Optiemus-managed variant.

The Indian variant is terrible. But the HK version is made by TCL unlike the Indian variant, as such, it's been getting updates nearly every month. Although, nothing for July as of today.

I didn’t realize that. I guess I’m one of the few Canadians stuck with an Optiemus made disappointment. I’ve been fortunate to get an April patch from the great people here on the forum, but I’m thinking it might be time to recycle it. I don’t feel safe knowing if/when an update or auto loader might come. Any advice?

Were you sold an indian variant fraudulently? Check your seller's listing, and return policies.

Otherwise, there isn't much you can do but wait for the occasional autoloader (which are far more difficult to produce for that variant).
