BBMobile gave info that they hope to fix that with Pie.
    So, in other words... never?

Pie will probably fix the swiping issue but create 10 new issues. One of them being a slow sluggish phone responsiveness.

It's on the server, but not OTA yet.

Not the easy way, no. Soon.

Any insight you can share as to why this patch is not as easily and readily available as got used to?

The "easy" way is to build an autoloader using signatures from the OTA file.

The "hard" way is to sacrifice a KEY² device to trick it into downloading the OS - causing a major PITA for the volunteer.

This is the same procedure for all devices and builds.

I see now. So I guess that you are waiting for the OTA file to be ready in order to build the autoloader.

    Yes?

That is the preference. But they (OTAs) don't get posted on the server much anymore, so it usually ends up plan B at some point.

Nah. It's a complicated and nasty process. Don't worry. It will happen soon enough.

    Hurry? None. Curiosity? Yes!

Don't forget, I still suffer from the random involuntary Cursor Mode and SYM VKB events bug.

Also that sensitivity issue won't be solved. BBMobile just can't get past Oreo. Google holds all the cards and will not invest in compatibility with a small brand making PKB phones.

    They just don't care.

That's why the technical support representative said "we hope we will get past those issues with Pie"

Doesn't sound like a company in control of the situation.

I do believe we can expect Pie for Key2. Probably won't be before Q4 of 2019.

You're an optimistic diehard BB fan who believes they will keep their promises. I like you lol

But I'm with RK_BB on this one: at this point, I now have doubts if we will ever see Pie on the KEY2.

Not sure why. BBMo hasn't failed us yet.

Verizon, Optiemus, and BB PT Merah Putih all have mind you.
