So I have been to my browser to open up my AOL mail account and it opens fine, doesn't ask me for my password. Works on my phone and PC in the browser just fine. For no reason that I can think of, I got a random popup that said my phone couldn't sync or whatever and to check my settings. So I typed my CORRECT password and it gave me error messages. Last time this happened I just deleted and re-added AOL just like we were supposed to in like November or whenever that was. This time though, it will not even set the account up. I have tried the "manual setup" option and that also does NOT work. I have tried POP, I have tried IMAP, I have even tried Exchange not knowing a thing about it. Nothing works. How the heck do I fix this?

You need to create an app-specific password to be able to use AOL in the HUB.

Thank you ! Thank you ! Same problem. Solved !
    Crackberry is the best !

But why all of sudden (last week or two) did this happen?
( now back to my Andy Griffith reruns and fussing about the pollen)

It's weird, I also had to re-setup my security camera snapshot emails too, so AOL must've done something...

We're seeing more and more providers forcing this for security's sake. They might be seeing an increase in hacked accounts...
