This happens every time they post something similar in the updates. It's a Google requirement to target Android 8 and higher and given the BlackBerry Hub+ Suite can already be installed on devices running Pie, they'd have to target them. Be silly to leave none Hub+ Suite apps on anything lower. Sure, it could mean Android 9 is coming, since it's already noted for KEY2 but it also could just mean they're getting ahead of Google's requirements.

TL;DR: it's not really confirmation of anything, other than BlackBerry playing by Google's Play Store rules.

With nothing from BBMo... it's anyone guess as to when PIE will show up.

My current thinking is that with the "rumor" that VZW will offer bother KEY2 and KEY2 LE in July... that would be a good target date. I expect VZW will want PIE pre-installed, and not have to deal with an update.

So that's 35% odds on July, 25% on August, 20% on skip to Q, 10% on never, 10% on sooner than July.

Yeah, besides: conite has already hinted at a Summer release of Pie for the KEY2, and I trust him with my life when it comes to BlackBerry stuff.
