I am very interested in knowing if this phone supports HDMI out thru the USB Type C port... nobody has mentioned this and it's bugging me.

It's a feature I use a lot to watch TV at home.

    Thank you.

I doubt it. Only bb10 had those features.

YES IT DOES, just like the KEYone using a DisplayLink adapter.

I thought they said KEYOne did not support that feature?

I use a DisplayLink USB-C to HDMI adapter on my KEYone, and it works every time.

My KEY2 is casting perfectly over HDMI cable. However, my KEYone is not doing it. I was very interested in acquiring a phone with 16:9 aspect ratio for perfect fitting broadcasting and hidden controls, that supported video output over USB-C to HDMI. The perfect option was the Motion, but since my KEYone was not doing it I thought there was no way the Motion would have such capability.

Is there anything I am missing on the KEYone in order to enable wired video output?

Any Motion owners being able to cast via wire?

    Why not cast wirelessly ?

    Why not cast wirelessly ?
For example, I don't have wifi at my cottage, nor do I have TV antenna reception and I am not there enough to justify a cable/satellite subscription. I bought a Slimport which did not work with my KeyOne, so I am interested to know that I could possibly use something (maybe not my Slimport) to watch TV there with my Key2.

    Makes total sense.

Wireless cast is a little flakey in all fairness

I do have a Miracast adapter, but not nearly as clean and stable as a wired transmission.

How do you achieve this? It works on my KEY2, not on my KEYone.

Key2 works with HDMI, but not all hdmi to type c adapter works. I have 5 adapters and only 2 of them works with key2.
Here: https://forums.crackberry.com/blackb.../#post13366245 you can find adapters, that works. And maybe find more of them)

I was reading this as I may try to do the same thing when I take my caravan for a break. Hopefully it would work for you also.

Mine works perfectly. I use it when travelling if the hotel doesn't have any casting options.
