I'm the "we" as in "we laid down our hard earned cash expecting 24 months of patches" ? Doesn't follow.

If your extensive research on the KEY² was limited to my inference regarding expected patch support, then I suggest you look up the definition for extensive.

According to the update sheet it appears the posted update ACM438 is for the BBF100-1 KEY2 in the UK.

If someone receives the update please let us know the size of the update and if you notice any changes or fixes. I know it's extremely unlikely as no doubt any update that gets pushed will undoubtedly be just a security patch. At this point we will just have to take what we get. Thanks...

If there's any justice, we should be at the top of the list given the HK 019 was one of the scant number of variants skipped for the last update (Dec).

I was totally joking, I don't think TCL will ever release Pie to the KEY2, unless BB Ltd waives the fee that they owe them.

Hi Paulelmar, one question: can your contact on TCL clarify of Pie update was ever developed and completed?

    Greetings from Bavaria.

I'd say the update development hasn't even began. Unless they were sure that the license would get prolonged, I would not see any reason to invest in Pie (make all those security enhancements which we can't really appreciate in a real usage but they still were present, I believe) :-)

But I don't know if I'm reliable and credible enough for such an information.

"Trusted Members" only has to do with our being consistently present, civil, and occasionally helpful on the forums. The title is not meant to imply that any if us have privileged or insider information. Furthermore, our opinions are our own, entirely. In my many years here I have never been given any advice or instruction on what to say about anything.

I’ve defended the Key2 and I don’t even own a Key2 since as we all know Chuck Finley69 relies on AT&T purchased WFC supported devices. That said, the security patches and updates have been far better under BBMo/TCL than BB10 was during it’s similar run for me.

However, when compared to Android updates on all the OEMs not Google, BB10 was pretty good in the updates department. However, it’s comparing tallest midgets and to me that’s ridiculous. In the scale of everything given from BBMO/TCL at price sold, I’d venture the bargain was fair.

When you factor in almost zero carrier support, a unique BBAndroid version from traditional plain Android, I’d say the fact the Key2 has solid best in class record. It’s a mid-tier and mid-spec device and was always represented as such.

Trusted Member status just means that we answer questions with answers that are fair and balanced with facts to sustain our point of view.
