Take out SIM, restart phone. Put SIM card back in and restart phone. See if that helps any.

I have done that and it has not helped.
i also restored factory setting. no help

Hmm, who is your carrier? Have you contacted them about the issue? It may be something on their end that they need to do. Sometimes they need to re-provision or it's also possible your SIM isn't working and they need to send you another.

I would start a chat with your carrier and go from there (note that if the first person doesn't get it working, end the chat and try again. I've found on average I have to have 3 chats to get someone knowledgeable to help.)

Ah! Did not know this. Although Chat Features should recognize when someone else has a compatible device and only use the chat then. Otherwise SMS should be fallback, even on chat if it can't connect will fall over to SMS after 5 minutes.

Is the issue about chat features or text messages in general. I have had no trouble with my texts but I did switch chat features off after trying it.

Try turning off IMS settings, in cellular network settings; this worked for me.

I've been having the same problems. I cannot find anything like being able to turn off IMS settings on my Key2 on ACI448 using Virgin Mobile in the UK. Friends starting to get annoyed when I text them and they get 4 or 5 copies of the same text before it reports to me that it failed.

I'm on Vodafone in NZ. The IMS setting is in network and internet| cellular networks, on my phone.

The attached screenshot are the options available for me. No IMS options. It's all different as your version refers to cellular and ours refers to mobile network

How about trying : *#*#46368676#*#*, Phone information, scroll down to SMSC and then update, then refresh (according to Vodafone's website, the number needs to be +6421600600). Power cycle the phone and send a text to 521 with Test in the message body.

If you get a reply back, your text services are working.

I have tried this and the phone picks up +447458399008 in the SMSC field when I click on refresh, then click update, (this number is confirmed as the Virgin Mobile message centre number in the UK). When power cycled, I still have the texting issue. On rechecking the SMSC field, it's blank again. Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Is it affecting all Key2 phones on the ACI448 update?

certainly affected mine, now it's random, some texts just go as normal but others say not sent and recipients get 3 or 4! Tried new Virgin SIM card but not made any difference.

Reading a similar issue being reported on the Key2 LE forum, it seems that it's the December patch that's causing the problem. Some automakers have been added there by the star who is Conite. Any chance of an autoloader for November 2019 for PRD-63824-035?

Does the ACI448 update apply to my issue of the 4G data dropping, I can receive calls and text but no data. The data will drop for hours dispite restarting several times.

I had a new sim provide from AT&T they verified APN settings and IMEI has been stored on network. I'm just not sure whats happening here.
