Same as Bell in Montreal
I just got my Key2 and it's still in the box. It seems like this update has solved the spacebar issue some users were experiencing.
Has anyone noticed anything else?
got update on my KEY2 (carrier T-Mobile) haven't downloaded yet. anyone notice any changes or problems after downloading this update?
I haven't noticed any changes and there aren't any problems created for me after installing the the update...

So you’re saying it’s a placebo....
I'm not sure if this is related, but I have stopped receiving SMS texts on my Key2. Last text was received pre-update, none since (verified with one sender that they sent one).
Do a 32 second reboot
Unfortunately the 32-second reboot did not help (not sure I did it right - held down power for 32 seconds - it "rebooted" about 4 times during the hold-down).
I've had my Key2 for about 10 months, I use AT&T as my carrier but did not buy it through them, I simply swapped my Key1 SIM into it. Is it possible that due to the update, AT&T no longer recognizes the text services or something?
I don't think so but AT&T should be willing to help over phone. Just call from separate device so as to make troubleshooting easier.
I'm on AT&T with my KEY2 and I've not experienced any issues with text messaging since installing the November update.
Give AT&T Technical Support a call and work with them on this...or maybe swing by an AT&T store and get a new SIM card and have it provisioned to your KEY2's IMEI.

Thanks - so far, 30 minutes on hold.
After spending an hour between hold and troubleshooting, the representative told me that AT&T is having some kind of issue with its network. So if that is true, it was merely coincidental that I'm not receiving texts (though I can send them just fine...). They promised it would be fixed by tomorrow.
This kind-of makes their 2-factor authentication to log into their website unusable, of course...
I'm in Denver and the text messaging is working just fine. Hopefully AT&T will get it sorted out quickly... I'm curious where you are located.
Bob
I am in the mighty TPA getting texts on AT&T just fine. Then again it’s 47 degrees and no snow
Since this update my Key2 has ceased working on Verizon. Could be coincidence - I'll have to call them and make sure my line is still provisioned as CDMA-only. It hangs up right after dialing any number. No calls received since before the update.
Uh, you want LTE only and CDMAless on your provisioning
I am in Massachusetts, and still cannot receive texts on my KEY2/ATT. When I go to the ATT website, Key2 is not one of their "supported" devices, they classify it as "BYOD" so their recommendation is that I contact the manufacturer.
Ignore the website and call in as AT&T service customer. You pay for the service and they can do basic troubleshooting and check settings per my earlier recommendation. Again, call from a different phone so as to maximize efficiency from their perspective.
You should not be experiencing any issues with text messaging on your BYOD KEY2. While AT&T does not support Enhanced Features for the KEY2, everything else will function as it should. I have not had any issues with my BYOD KEY2/PRD-003 on AT&T with text messaging since purchase in October 2018. I previously had an AT&T branded PRIV but I had a new SIM installed registering it to the IMEI of my KEY2.
Again, I would suggest you drop by an AT&T store and get a new SIM and have it provisioned to the IMEI of your KEY2. Hopefully that will fix whatever issue your are having. I can't imagine it has anything to do with the November update.
