Probably coming soon to NA devices.
That's the build we are expecting, and that has been certified on PTCRB.
Nice to know our resident BBF100-2 scout has it!
As far as I know, doesn't OP have a pre production device?
Now we wait for @jcrutchvt2010 to get it for us.
I loaded ABL911 last night with a full wipe as well.
OK I just got ABK892 this morning. this is another update?
Just for NA devices.
It is, yes. But it is a special one, as it's tied into an advance NA update stream.
That seems to be very unique, to say the least.
It appears I should be on the look out for this ABM374 update that is being pushed to KEY2's in North America.
I will update this thread if and when I receive it here in Colorado.
Bob
That reminds me, I need to reply to his PM.
You should have done that before. We could have grabbed the OS.
I PMed him back. I've now provided him answers to all his questions!
Awesome!
My device is manufacturer whitelisted. Its not tied to retail updates. Usually I get updates a few weeks before retail devices start to receive it. I am probably receiving them at the same time field testing occurs.
But I'm afraid I might start experiencing a hardware issue soon meaning I'll probably be on a retail device eventually meaning no more advance updates unless someone on the forums can help me replace the part.
Changes from what I can see:
- WiFi calling has been removed. No longer in the settings.
- Icons are now square with rounded edges. I do not like.
- Camera version is 1.1.3726.1130.
I haven't noticed anything else.
What part do you require?
Keyboard and space bar more than likely. I feel the space bar is going to fail. The key textures feel odd too.
I wonder if like the 9900. It was so easy to swap the KB.
Oh f**k. I had my screen shatter once at work. I can ask my shop about keyboard replacements and whatnot, and I'll let you know.
I can hopefully obtain the parts online. If it's the same setup as the Bold 9900, from what I remember, you pry out the bottom bezel and then the PKB. The PKB is attached to a single wire, carefully unclip it and clip the new PKB in. I can't remember if I had to take the screen out or not.
But I remember I didn't have to do anything drastic with the motherboard.
Hoping it's the same or I can find a repair shop who can do it.
I'm in Brampton (Toronto suburb) I can get you a part from my tech guy if you need it. Just let me know.
Does he want to replace it for me? Willing to pay along as it's reasonable (under $200).
Haha.
I left a message for him. Those guys love me there, it shouldn't be more than $200 to be completely honest.
How much was the screen replacement by the way?
Well, cause it was me he only charged me $120.
When I'm not doing my trucking fleet ****, I bring him a tonne of business.
If he can do the PKB, I might be interested in a screen replacement too. Both in one go. My screen has two minor pressure point marks probably from sitting on it while it's in my back pocket. Not a deal breaker because it's hardly noticeable but I wouldn't mind it being swapped out too.
Hit me up on PMs when you hear back
Will do.
