Want to see a Rogers scam?? The Pixel's & S8, S9 had a HUGE price increase yesterday, going up by close to 300-400$ for some phones on Premium+ Tab. They were free or close to that just a few days ago. The reason for the huge price increase is because Rogers implemented an "Ultra" plan which is even more expensive monthly.

I'm sure today you can get those new phones for close to 0$ with an Ultra plan where as yesterday & earlier this week, you only needed a cheaper Premium+ Tab to get them for close to 0$.

Luckily for me I only had an increase of 7$, -30% to get the Key2 for 95$. Which I think is very reasonable for me. I would have got a P20 Pro if Rogers wanted 199$ or more with a Premium+ tab.

Rogers lost me when my contract was up and tried to negotiate. The best they could do is offer a $10 discount by removing services - on a 2 year commitment. I told them I was looking elsewhere - wouldn't budge. I switched and I got a call from Rogers soon thereafter to come back for a comparable price (which would have saved me over $150 a month). I told them the time to negotiate had passed.

The joke is that by then they've already lost the customer - in my books. It's a hassle to change, but then again, the provider did that by not negotiating in good faith.

I called customer relations or retention and instead of an overall cost of 1300 bucks over 2yrs they got me a 4 gig add on for 200 bucks for 2yrs hahah Rogers is great

Well if you live in Manitoba you can get a Key² from Bell for $99 on a 2 year plan at $65 a month. Only 1gb data but I use WiFi mostly.

That sounds a real good deal if you consider a BYOD device is about $45/mo for 1-3 GB data. Given that assumption, you're paying $99 + $20/mo = $579 only for the phone which lists at $825 CDN.

My Rogers experience is great. I told them I lived in MB and used their offered military discount. My plan is now 54$ a month for 8gb of data and unlimited Canada calling. Seems to be worth the $95 to me.
