The only reason I would upgrade to the keytwo would be if it has even better battery life than the keyone. So what do you guys know about this?

More power and more efficient . I expect a larger battery...probably 4000mah going into the key two will make it a complete tank

Haha the way you explain it makes me think the key2 is going to get way better battery life. However it is mentioned the battery will be smaller than the key1. I hope they know what they are doing.

If nothing else, it'll likely be on par with KEYone.

Yes I meant KeyTwo. I am using KeyOne and Motion at the moment and both these devices have great battery life.

K2 will have great battery life....

Will it last as long as the KEYone... we will have to see, but I suspect it will depend on what you are doing. The 660 is more powerful, and if that extra HP is being utilized (Games), it will probable drain the tank more quickly... and it's a smaller tank. But if all you do is idle along on emails and word documents... it might make it just as far on a full tank as the KEYone.

Can we run dual apps on the KEYone or the upcoming KEYtwo? Like 2 Facebooks and 2 WhatsApp that many Android brands allow. Could somebody let me know. I might consider K2 if it does.

I just finished going through a pretty exhaustive read on the differences between the SoC 660 and the 625 and here are my conclusions.

The 660 CPU is 30% faster than the 625.
The 660 GPU is 40% faster than the 625.
The 660 Memory Speed is twice as fast as the 625.
The 660 LTE Modem is faster than the 625.
The KEY² Battery is reported to be 4% smaller than the KEYᵒⁿᵉ Battery.
The 660 is reported to run on a lower core count than the 625 on the same tasks.

Based on those data points I expect the KEY² to be between 20% & 25% more battery efficient while performing the same tasks.

The rub is the 660 is reported to do games well and is faster so usage will probably differ which will reduce battery performance, especially if gaming.

While not completely scientific it should be a pretty good SWAG (Scientific WIld @ss Guess).

    My 2¢ on the matter.

    Thanks for the nice info.

    Can we conclude that:

Given that the battery is 4% smaller, and the 660 is at least 20% more efficient than the 625, then the KEY2 will deliver at least as good of endurance as KEYone.

Only thing is, by that reasoning... the SD 845 should be even more "battery efficient".

The SD 660 shares the 14nm architecture of the SD 625, and that's really where the power efficiency would have come from.

Of course BlackBerry could limit the clock speed on the SD660 to match the SD625 and that would help battery life.... again, we will just have to wait and see.

Actually the figures I used were found while searching the internet comparing the SoC 660 to the 625, I didn't make any comparisons to the 845 at all. The main improvement in the 660 is the upgrades to the later generation and more efficient cores.

Also it was, as I stated, a SWAG.

Manufacturing tolerances on these batteries is +/- 2.5%.
So the difference in the 3505mAh on the Key1 and the reported 3360mAh on the Key2 is going to be negligible.
Thats not to say that the battery life difference between the 2 phones will be negligible.
But if you dropped the 3360 into the Key1, it would be negligible.

Nice research. I would conclude that blackberry will not and is not looking to sacrifice battery life for performance. Hence why they chose the 660 chip.
