Does anyone know why I receive Gmail immediately when an email is sent to me, however the Yahoo takes longer. Both accounts are setup to sync every 15 minutes, but regardless, the Gmail arrives within seconds, but the Yahoo takes up to 15 minutes.

Depends on your account(s) but GMail is probably using Exchange/ActiveSync while Yahoo is using POP3/IMAP.

Yahoo is crap. Switch to Outlook or Gmail. However, my understanding is that Gmail pushes emails on its own app. If you are using Hub, and you are not a paid business user, or government, or education, then it won't push emails to the Hub either. Again, this is my understanding.

I think maybe Gmail pushes emails regardless...

Yahoo Mail has been riddled with technical and security problems for the past number of years. Do yourself a favour and select another email client.

Gmail supports the IMAP-IDLE extension. So, you get push email if your mail client (like Hub+) also supports the extension.

Last time I checked (about 1 year ago), Yahoo still didn't support the IMAP-IDLE extension. So, it's strictly fetch only.
