Hub worked fine on Nougat but stopped working right after I updated my Note 8 to Oreo. I even tried running it on the Blackberry launcher and it still isn't working. Please help...

Works fine on my S7.... at least HUB does.

    You have updated it?

Check your permissions.... or maybe uninstall, clear device cache and reboot, and reinstall.

Are you running Oreo on your S7?

    Yes... and HUB works fine.

I don't use launcher so not aware of any issues with it. Does seem like first time after the update there were some new permission questions.

Hmmm.. It worked fine before I updates to Oreo so not sure what the problem is as I've uninstalled/reinstalled and granted all permissions. A noob question but how do you clear the cache? I'll try that and see if it works...

Maybe the update messed up something more and it affected the Hub somehow.

When my S8 updated to Oreo, everything still worked fine, including the Hub. But it's not unusual that something is messed up.

You could try wiping the cache partition. This won't delete apps or any of your data on your phone, but it seems to help with a lot of update issues.

Stupid question as I'm still getting the hang of Android and where everything is located..... How do you clear the cache?

You can clear app specific cache in Settings > Apps > "the app"

Can clear all cache in Settings > Device Maintenance > Storage > "clean now" button I'd also do Memory too...

Not stupid at all. Even though I've done it a couple of times, I have to look it up each time...

    Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.

When the green Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight 'wipe cache partition'.

    Press Power button to select.

Press the Volume down key until 'yes' is highlighted and press the Power button.

When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.

Press the Power key to restart the device.

A bit of a warning... what it doesn't say is that after the "installing system update" message, which you just ignore, there is a "no android" symbol, or something like that, that might freak you out and make you think something is wrong, but it's not. Just be patient and wait for the recovery menu to show up.

Again, this might help, but can't guarantee it.

It is usually something to try before doing a full factory reset - which does delete everything to like new, and you have to redo everything.

Not sure how you installed HUB... I'm using Cobalt's BlackBerry Manager.

I installed it though the Hub+ app and then installed Cobalt after because I wanted the BlackBerry keyboard. When I open the Cobalt manager, I don't even see Hub listed. Maybe I should just uninstall Hub+ and try to install everything through Cobalt..

Thanks for all of the help.. I got it working again by clearing the cache, rebooting, and reinstalling. Yay!! Unfortunately, it didn't come up in the Cobalt version so I just had to use Hub+. I'm curious if everything would still work if I deleted both and just installed through a reinstalled Cobalt? Now that it is working again, I'm not sure I want to take my chances.
