HUB: Attachment compression is still performing very poor after almost 2 years

We're almost 2 years later and it seems that now @c_bryant34 has moved on, development in this regard has stopped entirely, because, literally, nothing has changed since I created that thread back then. Compression is still not spread out more evenly.

The size difference between large-medium-small remains pointless.
The big size difference between original and large does not make any sense either.

And what about video compression abilities/possibilities?

Has the former Hub team forgot to mention this issue to the new Hub team? Or does the new team somehow considers this of little importance? One would think this is a very relevant nut to crack....

This would be nice to see implemented. Any idea how the compression is handled in other email Apps?

Any progress on the subject matter?

Well as it seems BlackBerry won't move, perhaps we can crowd source infos about a good and simple image compression/sharing app with only a few permissions (Storage) with only saving it temporarily to the storage.

It's still a workflow change as you would have to compress the photos before opening the hub.
