    Hello folks,

Can anyone tell me what's so special about the emails from flight companies - Ryanair, Wizzair, etc, that when you receive the itinerary, it goes automatically into the calendar as an event and with a link to the said email as an attachment?

    Regards.

It might have a calendar invite attachment (.ics I think) that gets added to your calendar either by the Hub or your email provider.

If you open the email through Outlook or the Hub, do you see an attachment?

Odd, the only other thing I can think of is Outlook detected flight itinerary and automatically added it to your calendar (Outlook, Gmail, etc have a custom view for itinerary IIRC).

That's my question. Why, when automatically possible, can't we use it for manually to add attachments?

And why is that not documented in the manual

If Outlook is doing it I think it'll depend on what you're trying to do but you can try configuring "add-ins" for your account through their website (Settings -> Manage Add-Ins).

Even if that works, I don't think it will be suitable for me, as it is not via outlook that I want to add attachments in calendar, but another email account. And also it may end up with hundreds of unwanted events created.
