Hi Im having a couple of problems with my bb contacts app on the GS7 Edge.

1-I cant seem to save custom ring tones for contacts.

2-I can't make a local contact(only option is to sync to an account).

Edit- I figured out the ring tone issue. Scroll down to see my solution. Hopefully this helps some people out.

There was an update today, so hopefully a fix for you. Kinda tough for BlackBerry to get their apps working perfectly across the spectrum of Android phones, but I know they're trying. Sammy certainly is among the most altered.

No today's update didn't fix it.
I do realize they have their work cut out for them since everybody puts their own twist on Android phones. It's not the end of the world if I can't customize contact ringtones but I hope it does get fixed eventually.

Yep! Fortunately I chose a Moto, which is almost pure Android, and no problems with custom ringtones here.

Well ill be.......... I just figured it out..... I was just playing around with the Samsung contacts app and when I went to edit a contact I scrolled to the bottom and saw a "more" option.... Then low and behold I see a ringtone option. I change it in the Samsung app and it changes in the blackberry app. Why couldn't this work both ways? Lol

Bottom line is you have to use both contact apps together if you want to use custom ringtones in the bb contacts app.
