Google Camera doesn't work and there's not really any apps that can dramatically improve the quality of the pictures being taken. The given hardware is the given hardware.

The only issue is camera. Worst clarity and not at all worthable cam. They have to concentrate on the cam.

What date is your software showing . Last update shows 5th November 2018 ?

Yes it's November 2018 only. Frankly speaking there was no image stabilization and slow motion is it's better to not to discuss about it. I don't know how you are compromised with the cam.

I agree with you and I got frustrated when I got this device last December and I am a long time BlackBerry user from 8520 and never had such pathetic camera in my previous BlackBerry devices..
But the catch here is Evolve doesn't have the BlackBerry camera ..the icon may be similar but if you search play store the TCL BlackBerry camera app would be there but again if you download that it will install but keeps on stopping..

so then after one week search I found gcam apk for Evolve and installed it and it works perfect for rear camera..believe me the Evolve camera hardware is capable to produce good shots which you can see with gcam results but it is problem with Optimus camera app software only but they are not fixing it till date...
however gcam doesn't work for all options like slow motion videos but still I get decent rear camera pics

If you really want a full working gcam (portrait, nightsight, slomo etc) you need to enable camera2api up to level 3. Without that, all gcam apk you install will no different than any other camera apps. Sadly to enable that, you need to do some trick through fastboot mode and that's currently undoable in blackberry android due to security terms. So you stick with whatever they provide you.
