    My phone seems to have come with a sort of "flip to answer" a phone call option and I cannot find an option to switch that off. I did look in all possible nooks and corners of settings and call settings, but did not find any such option. Any help appreciated.

    usually there is an "advanced interactions" menu under the settings.

    Hey thanks. But, The option unfortunately is not visible in my settings folder. Looks like I need to reinstall my firmware.
