The battery life of this phone is insane.

    Wi-Fi and location are on.
    Heavy WhatsApp and Instagram usage
    4 email accounts syncing

and the battery is at 60% after 18 hrs

For the Indian market... large batteries are common.

At this point it's clear Optiemus is trying to clear out dead inventory. Wasn't a bad phone, but the price was too high for what was offered. In the west we don't see many of these types of phone, but in India they are everywhere. Even Optiemus "clearance" prices isn't really competitive at this point.

Is strange that they have been able to keep pushing back tht Evolve X date for almost half a year now. Would seem like at some point retailers would get the hint...

And sadly that means updates aren't very likely for the Evolve...

The Evolve carries a 4000 mHa battery, the same as the Motion and these days many new devices have an bigger battery size regardless of their geographical location.

The original price for the Evolve was 29000 rupees (I believe) but was being sold at 24900 on a regular basis. The price has now been dropped to 18000 and sometimes on special offer down to 15000 .

There are still a number of merchants selling the device on Amazon and on Flipkart so there is no suggestion of a fire sale

As to Optiemus plans going forward , no one outside the company knows, and perhaps even those members of staff at lower levels have no idea .

The website still shows them as working with the BlackBerry brand however the no show for the Evolve X doesn't instill long term confidence .

Having owned the Evolve (current device ) Keyone and Motion I am content in my opinion that the Evolve is a far superior device overall and therefore for the money is well worth the purchase as it retails at less than the Keyone and Motion did at the time of their launch ....
