    Brand new DTek 60, getting either one bar or no bars for reception (Telus) where I had 5 bars on my z30. The cellular reception on this phone is horrible!!! Going to go back to my z30 if reception issue can't be fixed.

    Any help with this issue is appreciated.

    Compare using signal strength measured in decibels (dB) not bars. Better basis of comparisons. Actual vs representative data.

    I'm on Telus as well and have no issues, super fast download speeds and always have connection. Are you sure just not on LTE with 2 bars whereas as you weren't on LTE with previous phone, hence full bars. Regardless, what's your issue if you're connected with solid download speeds. No issues here with DTEK60 on Telus.

    On the DTEK60: Settings, About phone, Status, Sim Status, look at the Signal Strength......its in negative numbers....the higher the number (less negative) the stronger the signal.

    As an example, i am in a strong signal area now and my measurement is -89 dBm (4 bars). Around my home where signal is weak, this number is normally around -110 dBm (one bar).

    I forgot how to check on BB10.

    Okay, thanks! . My priv shows:
    -101bDm 39 asu

    But fluctuates fairly rapidly, say -99 to 107. In fact, it seems to fluctuate every second or so.

    I'm om 4G.
