When you look at Battery (main settings or a shortcut), what shows as using your battery?

    Computer or phone app?

For computer, you need to hit Advanced and find the attach-picture icon.

The app, you need to find the paperclip but it also depends on version.

When writing a post, you should see a paperclip icon somewhere on the screen. Use it to attach the picture. It will help us help you.

    Truth:

TCL is a low end brand. The batteries they put in these phones are of low quality. They wear out.

I've had to disable things left and right with my dtek60 just to get half the battery life of the priv.

Of course, my replacement device is outstanding so far, but I'm not holding on to hope for the long haul.

You might want to charge with a regular charger when you're not in a rush. My battery temperature goes up to 40 degrees Celsius when charging with the QC 3.0 charger. High battery temperatures will wear out the battery overtime and reduce its capacity.

I get about a day on a single charge with about 4 hours of screen time. However, only 14% of your battery is used by your screen and that seems somewhat off. Something else seems to be sucking your battery. You can install Gsam battery monitor to see more detailed battery consumption. Give it a full discharge to get good results.

For my DTEK60 it was location services that was drawing all the power. I disable it until I need it now, and battery power is much improved.

If I don't have anything doing bad things on cell service I easily get into the ~2 day standby time range and more on WiFi. The problem is that it's very easy to wind up with one or more apps that hold wakelocks (which greatly increases power consumption) or worse, spin on CPU (which makes power consumption ridiculous.)

Note that while MOST of the time the battery statistics are accurate in terms of who's doing it this is not ALWAYS true. Specifically there are apps that will wind up being charged to system services if they try to abuse some system APIs because the actual CPU use is being charged to the system, but the CALLER is an app.

Essentially you need to go through your apps and figure out what's causing trouble. I've had a DTEK60 since basically release day and have not noticed any material change in battery life, other than when I have an app misbehave -- which happens far too often, and has led me to uninstall quite a few things.

I messed up my calculations so had to delete my previous reply. Your app and screen consumption is similar to mine in terms of their share in total consumption. However, my consumption per hour is 5.7% while yours is 19%, which leads me to believe that your battery is defective. Your battery capacity seems to be a lot lower. I suggest contacting blackberry for replacing your battery.

BTW one thing to be VERY aware of is that if you visit a web page that has active content on it (HTML5, etc) the browser will keep accessing that even when not in the foreground!

This looks like something that shoud be optionable on a mobile device (e.g. can such run when the app, in this case a browser, does not have focus) but it currently isn't in Android (gee, Google wouldn't want that now would they as it would stop their data mining) and the impact is that visiting such a site will utterly murder your battery life because it basically prevents the phone from sleeping -- ever -- and it's not at all obvious what's going on. In short if you ever visit such a site you need to "Square kill" the browser every time you are done after visiting it or you will get a nasty power consumption surprise!
