It'll be my third BlackBerry phone!
The DTEK60 would be my fifth:

     Torch2 9810 OS7
     Z30 OS10
     Passport SE OS10
     Priv Android

The DTEK60 seems an excellent choice in the android world with so similar devices. However, all of these devices do not have great security options!

I have my upgrade in two weeks, I was sure I was going to leave Blackberry after many years until this phone came out. I was dead against Android but now I'm starting to like the look of what BlackBerry has added to the mix.
I'm looking forward to my dtek60 but I'm going to struggle to let the Passport go.

Well, as I've indicated earlier, I've had four BlackBerry's, including :

     Torch2 9810
     Z30
     Passport SE
     Priv

They are all excellent devices, each for different reasons. BlackBerry has always made top quality and innovative devices, and each is very different, whether OS7, OS10, or Android; whether with pkb or just vkb.

What I like about the Android Priv is the innovative design, physical and virtual kb, big bright display, great speakers, and fantastic 18MP rear camera.

I am hoping the DTEK60 is just as great as the previous four other BlackBerry devices!

I agree that the DTEK60 is just really a great android phone, probably better than my three previous BlackBerry devices! I hope so!

You should give it a shot. Will be a change from 'working wide' but I think you'll like it.

Compared to other Android phones I would also stick with BB! This phone has in my opinion the right specs and the right price! So go for it!

I wasn't talking about Crackberry review, which of course is the best and most detailed one out there.
I just wished more tech sites would cover it. AnandTech comes to mind, for instance.

I really wish the Dtek60 was offered by more carriers. There was no way to get a feel for one and I was worried about the size so I went for the 50 and I'm not disappointed but I the more powerful specs of the 60 would have been worth a look if I could have handled the phone. How is everyone finding the size? Too big?

Size is perfect...and I'm coming from a Passport and a classic.

I have a Z30 as well and since it is on its last few bars, was thinking this would be a nice upgrade. Any issues you have with the change you did?

The switch from the Q10 to Dtek50 was pretty seamless. Android is a bit different but the phone is so nice it makes up for the switch. I love my 50 now. I still really like that Q10 though as well. I gave it to my dad and he is using it now.

I agree. The Priv, the DTEK60 or the new Mercury are all great options. Would love to own one of them.

That is the continual dilemma of the "New phone Junkie", there is always something better just over the horizon....and it applies to more than just phones, almost all technology in a constant state of "newer, better, faster..... don't get me wrong it is kinda fun, but sometimes my head as well as my wallet is spinning!!
